DESCRIPTION: Fruticose. The thallus is strapped shaped and yellow-green above, white cottony underneath (a distinctive feature). The soft strongly flattened lobes that have a somewhat ridged upper surface and rare dark brown discs that are concave to plane make this a highly recgnisable species in the field. DISTRIBUTION: Very common. HABITAT: Deciduous trees and rarely on rocks or fixed dunes. |
